Services / IP Archive

Secure long-term storage of intellectual property

EscrowTech's IP Archive service documents, defines, evidences, and freezes the subject matter of contracts, assignments, licenses, transactions, and settlements — and preserves materials relevant to litigation, arbitration, or other disputes.

How it works
EscrowTech's IP Archive service

A trusted neutral that dates, stores, and corroborates

When you draft an agreement that refers to some form of intellectual property, how do you conclusively document the IP or its content? Six months — or five years — later, it may be necessary to know exactly what was meant.

EscrowTech serves as a reliable neutral that dates, stores, and provides independent corroboration and evidence of the archived materials. The cost of the archive is minuscule in comparison to the cost or loss involved if you need an archive after it is too late.

How it works

How an IP Archive works

  1. 01

    Define the archive

Parties agree on what's archived, who can inspect or release it, and under what conditions.

  2. 02

    Submit materials

Documents, drawings, databases, source code on media, computers, samples, or prototypes.

  3. 03

    Date & seal

EscrowTech dates the materials and securely stores them — no alterations, additions, or deletions allowed.

  4. 04

    Preserve integrity

Confidentiality and chain of custody maintained at our secure facilities.

  5. 05

    Inspect or release

Available for inspection, copying, release, or testing per the agreement — or in the event of dispute.

EscrowTech ensures the integrity of the Archive Materials by prohibiting alterations of, additions to, and deletions from them. Materials are made available for inspection, copying, release, or testing as specified in the Archive Agreement — and remain available in the event of a dispute, mediation, arbitration, or litigation. When necessary, EscrowTech can also conduct technical verification, testing, or other related services.
